About the role

Just Recruitment is partnering with an innovative company to recruit a Business Support Assistant for their team based in Ipswich.

The Business Support Assistant reports to the Operations Director and supports the respective business unit with administrative resources and organisational and departmental functionality.

The ability to manage diaries and coordinate travel requirements is essential, as is the ability to maintain a high level of integrity, communicate, prioritise workload, and handle multiple tasks with a proactive, accountable, efficient, and organised approach.

Duties include:

  • Arrange and coordinate diaries for meetings and booking meeting rooms.
  • Set up meeting facilities, organise refreshments/lunch requirements and IT equipment.
  • Organise and coordinate travel arrangements; flights, hotels, parking and transportation.
  • Organise and coordinate restaurant bookings.
  • Compile general correspondence as required.
  • Day-to-day administration support to business teams as designated.
  • Management of department spreadsheets.
  • Maintain credit card records.
  • Production of documentation as required within the business area of responsibility.
  • Support other members of the Business Support Team as and when required and cover during periods of absence.
  • Order department stationery.

Job specification:

  • Strong administrative abilities.
  • Ability to work to deadlines.
  • Ability to always apply discretion, together with a high degree of confidentiality.
  • To work as part of a busy integral team.
  • Extensive liaison and strong communication abilities.

Key experience:

  • Previous experience within high-level administration.
  • Previous experience with the full Microsoft Office Package.
  • Previous experience with diary management and coordination, and meeting and travel coordination and bookings.

Hours: Monday to Friday (9.00am to 5.00pm).
Hybrid Working is available after successful completion of the probationary period (min. of 3 days in the office, up to 2 days at home).

Just Temps has an excellent opportunity for a Trainee Engineer to join a well-established company based near Ipswich, Suffolk.

This is a dynamic role that combines technical expertise with customer service. You will have a passion for working with machinery and solving problems on the spot.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Service and maintenance: Supply, fit, service, and maintain compressors, pipework, receivers, dryers, and more!
  • Troubleshooting and repair: Diagnose faults, carry out temporary repairs when necessary, and ensure machines are running efficiently and effectively on-site.
  • Customer-focused: Engage with customers directly to discuss the best options for each job, offering expert advice and solutions. Once trained, you will become the face of the company, so a friendly and professional approach is essential.
  • Safety and PPE: Wear provided overalls and PPE (personal protective equipment) while working on various sites, some of which may be dusty or dirty.

Essential requirements:

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm.

Responsibilities include:

  • Cable preparation; conformal coating; manual soldering of components according to product requirements.
  • Manual handling.
  • Packing, weighing, and labelling completed items for shipment or storage.
  • Inspect surface mount assemblies as they go through the line and rectification of any faults found.
  • Undertaking a variety of mechanical assemblies.
  • Identifying and disposing of defective items.

Skills required:

  • Communicate with other employees and managers to relay information about the production line or about issues that arise during testing.
