You will come from a planning background within the general haulage or pallet network industries.

You will also have previous experience managing a fleet of rigid/artic vehicles.

Duties include:

• Routing vehicles and covering deliveries across the UK.
• Providing good communication with the Traffic Office teams and Drivers to ensure customer KPIs and targets are achieved and maintained.
• Using in-house planning tools and systems to manage workload and monitor efficiency.
• Ensuring internal tracking systems are kept organised and updated.
• Controlling and planning of resources (vehicles, drivers, trailers); ensuring all legal requirements are adhered to (Working Time Directive and EU Drivers’ Hours regulations).
• Planning rigid and artic work for the following day.
• Warehouse checks.

Being a CPC Holder will be an advantage, but not essential.

Please note due to location you will need to drive.

Job overview:

Responsibilities include:

• Perform heavy lifting and manual handling of goods.

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions.
• Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment is preferred but not essential.

This role can be busy and varied, you could spend all day in the yard or moving goods or stock checking as well as unloading or loading trucks.
