Just Recruitment is recruiting for a Warehouse Operative/Forklift Driver on behalf of a company based near Bury St. Edmunds.

You will be responsible for carrying out warehouse tasks as required by the Line Manager/Supervisor.

You will also have qualifications to operate PPT (Pivot Steer, Counterbalance, VNA preferred).

Duties include:

Operate MHE safely and effectively according to requirements.
Unloading goods in.
Checking in goods.
Putting away products and keeping the warehouse tidy.
Picking products as per customer orders.
Checking orders, ensuring accuracy.
Packing orders to ensure safety in delivery.
Loading deliveries.
Undertaking any other duties as may be required.

Qualifications and skills required:

Good level of numeracy and literacy.
Basic PC skills.
Knowledge of company Health and safety policy.
Housekeeping awareness.
Qualifications to operate PPT (Pivot Steer, Counterbalance, VNA preferred).
Physically active.

Salary:

Warehouse £13.05 - overtime after 37.5 hours £18.56 per hour.

Key Roles:

Forklift / Manual Handling Equipment (MHE): Responsible for operating Material Handling Equipment (MHE) such as forklifts, pallet trucks, and other warehouse machinery to move goods efficiently and safely.
Warehouse: Engage in manual handling tasks including unloading, sorting, and moving heavy items. This role requires regular lifting of heavy loads, so candidates should be physically fit.

Key Responsibilities:

Safely operate MHE equipment (if qualified) to move and stack products.
Perform manual handling duties, including heavy lifting, sorting, and loading/unloading goods.
Ensure the accurate and efficient movement of goods within the warehouse.
Adhere to all health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Conduct daily equipment checks and report any malfunctions.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the work area.
Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational targets.

Requirements:

Must be comfortable with heavy lifting and manual handling.
Experience in operating MHE (e.g., forklifts) is desirable.
A valid MHE license/certification is preferred.
A DBS check will be conducted before visiting the site.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills and attention to detail.
Flexibility to work different shifts as required.

Machinist / CNC Setter / Operator

About the role

Just Temps is seeking a Machinist / CNC Setter / Operator for a company based in Braintree.

This is an immediate start ongoing role!

Hours: 8am to 4pm, must be flexible.

Role responsibilities include:

Able to read engineering drawings.
Working with cast resin, steel, brass, aluminium and plastic.
Generally light work.
Production work
CNC and manual turning. Good lathe operator. CNC experience would be a bonus.
You would be required to be able to set and operate a 2 axis CNC lathe and manual lathe by following a setting sheet.
Occasional machining of pancake cable assemblies (counterbalance set up). Training will be given for the right candidate.
Working in an air-conditioned room with air replacement system and local extraction for production work.
Repair tooling to engineering drawings useful, not essential.
Perform pillar drilling, tapping, polishing, cleaning and other tasks as required.
Occasional setting for others eventually if trained.
Some inspection of incoming goods and tooling.
You must clean down the machines and work areas at the end of the day.
You must ensure tips/tooling is maintained and replaced as required. Tooling is held on-site in stores.
Must have a good work ethic and be flexible due to the fast-paced environment and changes in priorities.

Role requirements include:

Jobs and demand vary from day to day as set by the tool room supervisor.
CNC and manual turning. Good lathe operator. CNC experience would be a bonus.
Ability to work under your own initiative.
May be asked to help with some simple handyman tasks.
