• Ensure close attention to detail and an appreciation of the exceptional working standards required in the aviation industry.
• Have the ability to use tooling and test equipment in the correct manner.

• Be responsible for adhering to health and safety rules and procedures.

A leading UK Supplier of premium building products, systems and solutions in Halstead is looking for an experienced MIG/TIG Welder to join its team on a permanent full-time basis due to continued growth.

The company is currently investing heavily in its people, machinery and manufacturing site.

The role will involve:

• TIG/MIG welding and sheet metal fabrication, machining, fitting and assembly of material/parts to specification.
• Becoming fully conversant with machinery, tools and equipment including brazing equipment, the laser cutting machine and the milling machine.
• Producing components in accordance with layouts, drawings and sketches.

Preferred experience required:

• Minimum 12 months experience working in a busy weld production environment.
• Able to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Ability to use measuring equipment.

Working hours: 40-hour week
Day shift:
Monday to Thursday - 7.30am to 4.30pm.
Friday - 7.30am to 1.30pm

Based within the sales team, the purpose of this role is to enhance and expand the company’s range of non-manufactured product ranges.

Reporting to the Sales Operations Director, you will also promote the company’s existing ranges within its sales teams to maximise the uptake of these.

The role will involve working with suppliers to enhance training and product knowledge and also ensure competitiveness and profitability.

You will also consider new products for the company to add to its range, develop business cases for inclusion, build relationships with suppliers and create launch documentation for additional ranges.

This role will also involve some requirements for travel, both domestically and internationally to visit exhibitions, suppliers and customers, and also to support the Field Sales Teams with training and product growth—flexibility is therefore required.

The company will provide job training for product ranges.

An engineering qualification is preferred as well as previous commercial experience.

Ideally, you will have completed an apprenticeship, have an engineering background, or have a business studies background with an interest in engineering. You will also have demonstrable commercial acumen and an interest or experience in direct sales.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm. 37.5 hours per week, with one hour for lunch.

The responsibilities of the role may require additional hours to meet the full scope as required.

Just Recruitment is recruiting for a Maintenance Manager for a manufacturer within the engineering sector based in Braintree, Essex.

The role will involve managing the maintenance team in planned maintenance and breakdown repairs throughout the site. The job is to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the company-wide machines and buildings.

Hours: Mon to Fri, 6.45am to 3.15pm.

Duties will include:

• Responsible for H&S of the Maintenance Workshop, Maintenance Team, and machinery within the department.
• Responsible for H&S whilst working on any machines during planned or unplanned work.
• Building a planned maintenance schedule and allocating work to your team.
• Complete a monthly Directors report for your department advising of the budget required for a rolling 3 month period – this should include a detailed breakdown of what work is planned and the cost per job.
• Attend H&S meetings and act on improvements required but also positively engage in the process.
• Maintain stock levels of critical spare parts for breakdown of vital plant and machinery.
• Be available at short notice (outside normal working hours – evenings/weekends etc) to remain onsite to repair breakdown machinery.
• Appraising your team ongoing including annual appraisals.

Skills, experience and qualifications:

• Apprenticeship minimum to NVQ Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering (Craft and Technician) Foundry.
• Management or Supervisory Training e.g. ILM level 3 or above.
• Hydraulics and pneumatics training.
• Electrical qualifications - Electrical Maintenance basics at a minimum.
• IOSH or NEBOSH qualification.
• Ideally, 5+ years experience as a Maintenance Technician/Engineer.
• Ideally, 2+ years experience as a Manager of a department.
• Experience 5+ years of team working (2 or more people).
• Ideally have 5 GCSE’s including Maths, English and Science (C or above).
• A good working knowledge of Windows and MS Office.
  • MS Office, Outlook, Word and Excel most importantly.
  • Trello (ideally).
