CNC Setter Operator

Just Recruitment is seeking an Industrial Electrician for a company based in Stowmarket, Suffolk.

This position is based around maintenance, fault-finding, installations & testing, working under minimal supervision and reporting directly to the Maintenance Supervisor. The firm is looking for a highly skilled, qualified electrician, ideally with industrial experience, who is looking for a new challenge as part of a multi-skilled maintenance team. This position would suit somebody who also has an interest in working with heavy machinery, as well as welding and fabricating techniques. In-depth on-the-job and external training will be provided, the job role is based in a large, well-equipped workshop with a wide range of tools and equipment (CNC Plasma, lathe, mill etc).

Hours: You will normally work from Monday to Friday on a rotating shift pattern, with the following hours: 06.00 to 14.15 and 14.00 to 22.15.

The company offers:

• Competitive salary of £41,643.18 rising to £45,590.71 when competently at the level of a Senior Industrial Electrician.
• Annual bonus of up to £1650.00, paid in quarterly instalments.

Duties include but are not limited to:

Installation, maintenance and removal of electrical components within the industrial and office environments of the site.

Performing advanced troubleshooting for complex industrial automation systems and design of simple electrical installations.

Essential role requirements:

• Level 3 Diploma in electrical installation, inspection, testing certification and reporting, or equivalent.
• 3 years’ experience working in the industrial electrical field.
• Ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards.
• Familiarity with interpreting risk assessments.
• Ability to interpret electrical diagrams.
• Experience working with 3-Phase electrical supplies.

Desired role requirements:

• GCSEs in mathematics/engineering/physics.
• Previous experience working in a multi-skilled industrial setting.
• PLC and industrial controls experience.
• Inspection and testing (2391 or equivalent).
• Previous experience in fault-finding on PLC equipment.

The key purpose of the role is to support the business with all quality-based duties as directed by the Quality Manager and wider management team.

Duties include:

• Assisting with setting up and operating a Quality Assurance laboratory to screen all incoming raw materials and finished products manufactured on-site.
• Ensuring legislative safety requirements and specific customer practices are adhered to.
• Continuous management and alignment to industry requirements.
• Undertaking internal audits relating to GMP and finished product requirements.

Qualifications and experience required:

• Internal auditing experience.
• Ability to use all IT-based packages.

Working hours are:

Monday to Friday — working a 3 shift rotating pattern, early, late and night shifts.

Just Recruitment has an opportunity for a CNC Machine Setter Operator to join a leading UK Supplier of premium building products, systems and solutions company — based in Halstead, Essex. Due to continued growth, the company is investing heavily into it's people, machinery and manufacturing site.

Working hours: 40 hour week on a 2 week rotation.

• Early shift:
  Monday to Friday, 6am to 2pm (paid 0.5 hour lunchbreak). Total = 40hrs.
• Late shift:
  Monday to Thursday, 2pm to 11pm = 36 hrs. (paid 0.5 hour lunchbreak).
  Friday 2pm to 6pm = 4 hours.
  Total = 40 hours.

Key role requirements include:

• Proven experience as a CNC Machine Setter Operator / Programmer.
• Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools.
• Previous setting/programming knowledge of CNC multi-spindle machines is preferred.
• Previous Mazak CNC machine experience is advantageous.
• Ability to adapt to change.
• Tool setting.
• Part inspection.

The role will involve:

• Set up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycle.
• Produce components in accordance with layouts, drawings, sketches, production orders or verbal instructions, working to the stated limits of tolerance.
• Control and adjust machine settings (e.g., speed).
• Feed raw material or parts to semi-automated machines.
• Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools.
• Test the operation of machines periodically.
• Fix issues that might occur during the shift.
• Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws.
• Keep records of approved and defective units or final products.
• Maintain activity logs.
• Use of cranes and forklifts.

Working hours: 40-hour week

• Day shift:
  Monday to Thursday, 7.30am to 4.30pm.
  Friday 7.30am to 1.30pm.
