Just Recruitment has an opportunity for a CNC Machine Setter Operator to join a leading UK Supplier of premium building products, systems and solutions company — based in Halstead, Essex. Due to continued growth, the company is investing heavily into it's people, machinery and manufacturing site.

Working hours: 40 hour week on a 2 week rotation.

• Early shift:
  Monday to Friday, 6am to 2pm (paid 0.5 hour lunchbreak). Total = 40hrs.
• Late shift:
  Monday to Thursday, 2pm to 11pm = 36 hrs. (paid 0.5 hour lunchbreak).
  Friday 2pm to 6pm = 4 hours.
  Total = 40 hours.

Key role requirements include:

• Proven experience as a CNC Machine Setter Operator / Programmer.
• Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools.
• Previous setting/programming knowledge of CNC multi-spindle machines is preferred.
• Previous Mazak CNC machine experience is advantageous.
• Ability to adapt to change.
• Tool setting.
• Part inspection.

The role will involve:

• Set up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycle.
• Produce components in accordance with layouts, drawings, sketches, production orders or verbal instructions, working to the stated limits of tolerance.
• Control and adjust machine settings (e.g., speed).
• Feed raw material or parts to semi-automated machines.
• Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools.
• Test the operation of machines periodically.
• Fix issues that might occur during the shift.
• Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws.
• Keep records of approved and defective units or final products.
• Maintain activity logs.
• Use of cranes and forklifts.

Working hours: 40-hour week

• Day shift:
  Monday to Thursday, 7.30am to 4.30pm.
  Friday 7.30am to 1.30pm.

Duties will include:

• Booking and accurately recording all incoming stock
• Processing customer returns requests
• Ensuring stock is all placed back in the correct location
• Making sure all areas of goods are always kept organised and are compliant with health and safety rules
• Basic testing of returned goods to identify any faults or defects
• Assist with any warehouse tasks required – picking and packing orders, undertaking stock checks etc.
• Updating Warehouse Management System (NetSuite)
• Using a handheld scanner

Skills required:
