About the role

This is a temporary ongoing role.

The pay rate is £13.20 per hour with the chance of increasing through training.  

Hours: Monday to Friday, 2pm to 10pm (8.30pm finish on Fridays).

Position overview:

This role involves assembling small equipment, requiring manual dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to stand for extended periods.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assembling small equipment and components.
  • Following instructions and ensuring high-quality standards.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Working efficiently to meet production targets.

Role requirements include:

  • Ability to stand on your feet for the entire shift.
  • Attention to detail
  • Comfortable with repetitive tasks.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Duties include:

  • Carrying out daily vehicle checks as required, using correct documentation in accordance with the company’s policy and process.
  • Informing the Directors of any defects as soon as possible.
  • Establishing, developing and maintaining positive customer relationships.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant Road Transport Legislation using analogue and digital tachograph equipment and relevant company reporting procedures.
  • Ensuring time sheets are accurate with all relevant information, identifying breaks and driving/duty times accordingly and compliant with Driver hours etc.

Driving duties will require overnight stays away from home due to long-distance driving (i.e. Scotland). There is recompense for these overnight stays which is paid per company policy.

Role requirements include:

  • Driving experience, including: Full UK Driving licence (inc. 7.5 tonne vehicles).
  • Must be Driver Certificate of Professional Competence qualified (Driver CPC qualification for professional lorry drivers).
  • Having a demonstrable flexible, adaptable and positive approach to prioritising tasks and working under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
