About the role

Just Recruitment is working with a growing manufacturing business based on the outskirts of Sudbury, that is looking to add a Quality Technician to its experienced and technically led team.

The key purpose of the role is to support the business with all quality-based duties as directed by the Quality Manager and wider management team.

Duties include:

  • Assisting with setting up and operating a Quality Assurance laboratory to screen all incoming raw materials and finished products manufactured on-site.
  • Ensuring legislative safety requirements and specific customer practices are adhered to.
  • Continuous management and alignment to industry requirements.
  • Undertaking internal audits relating to GMP and finished product requirements.
  • Maintaining traceability, hygiene, quality and process records with validation of results, identification of trends, root cause analysis where applicable and instigation of corrective actions.
  • Working closely with third-party certification bodies for sustainability, religious and ethical obligations.
  • Carry out sampling and investigations for microbiological, allergen, nutritional or customer requirements.
  • Working with essential service providers such as Pest Control, Hygiene, and workwear providers.
  • Assisting with new product/process trials.
  • Communicating effectively with all the departments across all levels.
  • Flexibility to carry out additional duties as deemed necessary by the business.

Qualifications and experience required:

  • Internal auditing experience.
  • Ability to use all IT-based packages.

You will be a team player, self-motivated and possess excellent attention to detail.

Working hours: Monday to Friday, working a 3 shift rotating pattern, early, late and night shifts.

About the role

Just Recruitment has an exciting opportunity for an Industrial Electrician to join the maintenance team of a medium-sized industrial plant in Stowmarket.

The role is based in the site’s large, well-equipped workshop and its primary duties include but are not limited to the installation, maintenance and removal of electrical components within the industrial and office environments. This position involves maintenance, fault-finding, installations and testing works. You will be under minimal supervision with other senior electricians—reporting directly to the Maintenance Supervisor.

Working hours: Rotating shift pattern from 06.00 to 14.15 / 14.00 to 22.15. Monday to Friday.

Duties overview:

  • Safe completion of routine and non-routine repairs, installations and removals of primarily electrical equipment, but also of mechanical equipment as required.
  • Use of fixed and mobile power tools, including but not limited to drills, saws and impact drivers. Use of vehicles including counterbalance forklift trucks and articulated boom lifts.
  • Assist in the troubleshooting of industrial electrical equipment and instrumentation, including the interpretation of basic to intermediate electrical diagrams.
  • Additional responsibilities and duties may be assigned according to the needs of the business.

Essential role requirements:

  • Level 3 Diploma in electrical installation, inspection, testing certification and reporting, or equivalent
  • Familiarity with the safe use of hand and power tools
  • Familiarity with interpreting risk assessments
  • Ability to interpret basic electrical diagrams
  • 3-Phase experience and low voltage up to 415V

Desired requirements:

  • GCSEs in mathematics/engineering/physics
  • 1-2 years experience working in an industrial setting
  • PLC / / SCADA / HMI experience.

  • Respond to plant breakdowns as and when they occur, by identifying root causes and delivering field repairs.
  • Interpretation of mechanical diagrams.

Essential role requirements:

  • Level 3 equivalent engineering or workshop technology qualification or 3 years of experience working in an industrial mechanical setting.
  • Familiarity with the safe use of hand and power tools.
  • Familiarity with interpreting risk assessments.

You will be responsible for troubleshooting and providing technical and customer support for operating systems. You will also be responsible for providing excellent customer service to clients.

Duties include:

  • Monitoring real-time alerts for hardware, software and security issues and using central monitor software to proactively predict and prevent issues.
  • Supporting and maintaining the infrastructure of a Microsoft Hyper-V environment, including VM’s, SAN solutions and system applications.
  • Completing system checks that include hardware, performance, configuration, asset inventory and database backups.
  • Conducting the planning, testing, installation and rollout of system updates (Servers, Clients, Networks, Applications, etc..) on pre-production and production.
  • Being a point of escalation for system issues and unplanned faults.
  • Investigating, troubleshooting and resolving system faults that fall under 3rd line support tasks and liaising with software/hardware suppliers to resolve issues.

Key skills required:

  • 3+ years of IT, Server Support or IT administration experience providing industry-leading technical support and customer service.
  • Previous experience of offering over-the-phone and remote diagnostics.
  • Strong analytical skills, enquiring and investigative mind.
  • Able to get to the root causes of a problem and communicate this clearly to others.
  • Excellent knowledge with Microsoft OS (Server and Desktop) including
  • Microsoft Active Directory, DNS and Group Policy Management.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows Servers (including Hyper-V) and desktop and storage.

Qualifications:

  • Expert-level knowledge of operating systems including Windows and MacOS.
  • Strong troubleshooting and technical support skills.
