Quality Engineer

Salary: £35,000 — £42,000 per annumn

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Engineer to join our client’s Quality Management team, based in Halstead, Essex.

The role will involve:

• Working to ensure the quality of product fulfils project requirements
• Monitoring quality of internally and externally manufactured components
• Internal and customer 8D compilation
• Customer visits to review quality performance
• Working with suppliers on quality issues to prevent reoccurrence and to help drive down supplier PPM
• Gathering and analysing key production quality data and acting on trends
• Maintenance of the Scorecards and associated monitoring systems
• Actively partake in any NPI or Process FMEA activities relating to Quality Assurance

Essential criteria include:

• Proven background in Quality Assurance
• Knowledge and awareness of quality procedures
• Awareness of AS9100 or ISO 9001
• Good knowledge of Quality tools and 8D methodology
• Internal Auditor qualified or willing to undertake training
• Ability to produce accurate documentation
• Being organised and motivated
• Capable of working as part of a team
• Strong inter-personal skills and ability to work at all levels of the organisation
• Awareness of manufacturing processes and Lean Manufacturing principles
• Clear understanding and interpretation of Engineering drawings
• Good computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Engineering background
