Part-Time Customer Administrator (Supply Chain)

We are working with a growing and well regarded organisation, based on the outskirts of Sudbury – they are looking for a Part-Time Customer Administrator on a permanent basis to join their friendly and longstanding team.

The key purpose of this role is to provide a highly efficient, commercially focused customer service for both internal and external customers as well as managing order acceptance and invoice processing, in line with customer and business requirements. This role is the key contact between Sales, Production, Accounts, QC, Regulatory and Distribution teams, ensuring high levels of service are achieved.

Duties include:
• Ensuring excellent levels of customer satisfaction are delivered to customers and building strong relationships with customers through open and interactive communication.
• Receiving and processing all customer purchase orders within 24 hours and sending order acknowledgment or confirmation where appropriate.
• Ensuring that correct pricing information is available for new orders received, and if necessary, requesting information or guidance from the relevant Sales Manager.
• Providing timely responses to internal and external customer requests and enquiries, for example order status requests, order amendments, transportation delays etc.
• Allocating stock to orders to allow warehouse and distribution teams to process dispatches.
• Planning transportation to support the agreed delivery dates to customers.
• Producing and distributing invoices.
• Processing sample requests.
• Learning a basic understanding of other team members’ roles in logistics, supply chain and purchasing to assist with holiday/absence cover.
• Being proactive in maintaining and developing knowledge and skills to meet the needs of this position. Undertaking training as directed by the business to develop experience and capability.
• Willing to work additional hours when required during team absences.

Hours of work:
• This role is being offered on a part-time basis, working Monday, Wednesday and Friday 10am – 2pm (please note flexibility is required to cover holidays, sickness and busy periods – where you may be asked to work 5 days a week).
