CNC Punch Operator – Night Shift

Salary: £12.75 – £13.50 per hour, plus shift allowance

We are working with a growing business, based on the outskirts of Sudbury, looking to add a CNC Punch Operator on a night shift basis to their team.

The key purpose of this role is to set up and program TRUMPF sheet metal punching machines, ensuring jobs are completed safely, accurately, and on schedule while maintaining equipment and quality standards.

Key duties include:
• Setting up and operating TRUMPF CNC punch machines.
• Loading programs, adjusting tooling, and performing machine setups.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and work orders.
• Selecting, installing, and maintaining punch tooling.
• Monitoring machine operation and adjusting to ensure quality output.
• Inspecting finished parts using measuring tools to supplied drawings.
• Performing basic troubleshooting and routine machine maintenance.
• Maintaining production records and reporting issues to supervision.

Hours of work:
• Sunday-Wednesday, 8:30pm – 7:00am.

Although this role is on a night shift basis – during the training period (1-2 months) day shift hours will be required.
