Warehouse Operative/Forklift Driver

Salary: £31,890 (6-month fixed-term contract)

We are working with a growing business within the FMCG sector – they are looking to add a Warehouse Operative/Forklift Driver to their team on a 6-month fixed-term contract basis.

The key purpose of this role is to assist with the smooth running of all warehouse operations, working with the wider business team to ensure that customer expectations are met.

Key duties:
• Driving FLT.
• Ensuring FLT checks are carried out and failures reported.
• Ensuring stock rotation is done in compliance with agreed site standards.
• Reporting all damages.
• Completing pre-loading vehicle inspections.
• Ensuring vehicle is loaded without damages.
• Maintaining effective communication with hauliers, line management.
• Following site escalation procedures in the event of issues, non-compliance, and failures.
• Ensuring all personnel visiting the area follow site HSE procedures.
• Ensuring product is delivered/dispatched with correct documentation.
• Taking reasonable and practical care of personal health and safety and of others who may be required to implement any legal or company directives regarding health and safety at work.

Knowledge, skills & experience required:
• Previous warehouse experience is essential.
• Valid counterbalance FLT licence is essential.
• A full UK driving licence is essential.
• Practical experience of working within a high-speed/FMCG manufacturing operation is essential.
• A passion to grow and develop.

Hours:
• Monday – Friday, weekly rotating shift pattern.
