Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer with a mechanical bias for an engineering company based in Halstead, Essex.

Responsibilities include:
• Supporting the smooth running of the factory, resolving breakdowns and delivering planned maintenance.
• Driving improvements across the site, introducing new machinery and ensuring quality and performance are maximised.

Role requirements include:
• Multi-skilled engineer with a mechanical bias.
• Experience of working in a proactive engineering role within a maintenance department.
• Competent knowledge and skill with both mechanical elements and some electrical elements of equipment and machinery.
• Metalwork, welding and fabrication experience.
• A forklift licence would be an advantage.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Prepared to work as part of a team and for on-call duties.

Hours of work:
• Working hours – 40 per week Monday – Friday 7.45 am to 4.15 pm.
• Flexibility to work on a Saturday when required (overtime rate applies).
